On Wednesday, HMD Global officially announced Nokia 8.1. The company said in a program in Dubai that Nokia 8.1 is the direct successor of Nokia 7 Plus at the beginning of this year. Nokia 8.1 will be available in December, one of the first markets to get the device with the Middle East. HMD chief Juho Sarvikas also confirmed that Nokia 8.1 will soon come to India. HMD is organizing an event in India on December 10 where it will announce Nokia 8.1.

The average retail price of Nokia 8.1 is 399 euros (about Rs 31,900). We expect India's price to be more aggressive so you can expect that it is less than Rs 30,000. This will be the perfect replacement for the Nokia 7 Plus which was launched in India for around Rs 25,000.
